Nobody likes to be excluded.
That includes members of the Georgia State Election Board, who passed a rule yesterday aimed at letting them in to the secretary of state’s election night hub, even though Attorney General Chris Carr said the board doesn’t have that authority. No voting or ballot counting happens at the hub, but some activists liken it to a “secret bunker.”
We’ve also got a story about a courtroom win for Georgia Republicans, who backed a committee designed to discipline out-of-line district attorneys, but a loss for an influential conservative lobbying group accused of ethics violations to the tune of $17,500.

Georgia’s State Election Board has passed a rule aimed at granting board members access to the secretary of state’s election night hub, defying a warning from the attorney general’s office that such a rule would exceed the board’s authority.

A Fulton County Superior Court judge has upheld a Republican-backed committee dedicated to overseeing and disciplining “rogue” prosecutors, striking down a bipartisan challenge to the law from 2024.
